New Product Alert: Limited Edition Cheryl Cole Lipstick!

Cheryl Cole is in her third year of her campaign for L'oreal, and now she's bring out a lippy for a great cause.
This month, we'll be seeing her shade no. 297 Red Passion being sold with her Limited Edition Cheryl Cole packaging, and £1 from every sale will go to the Cheryl Cole Foundation, in aid of Prince's Trust.
The Prince's Trust helps young people who have been in trouble with school, or the law, and helps them get into education, training or jobs. Which is great considering youth unemployment is supposed to be something like at an all time low at the minute!
Here's a press pic;
The packaging is so classy and beautiful! So tempted to buy this as it looks so great and goes to such a wonderful cause!
You can / will be able to find this product at Boots and Superdrug.

MUA Starry Night Palette: Review & Swatches

Hello my lovlies! Another review and swatch post of a MUA eyeshadow palette that I got for crimbo! This time it's the 'Starry Nights' palette, here are some pictures :)
 The packaging is nice, not sure it would be as sturdy as the sleep palette for instance, but it's nice to see the pans through the little window.
All the colours are shimmery, some more than others, all perfect for evening looks. The palettes don't have names so I've had to number them;
Lets start with the first half;
1) A pretty lilac, would look beautiful in a purple smokey eye in the inner portion of the eye.
2) A sort of baby pink, again, don't know when I'd use this tbh, but I'll give it a go!
3) A stealy charcoal grey, really beautiful shade
4) Sort of a navy grey, great shade, I'm a sucker for blue shadows just not confident wearing them! (This picture doens't really pick up the blue tones of this shade which is unfortunate!)
5) White, just like no.1 from the MUA Heaven & Earth palette (you can see my review here
6) Steal grey, really pretty shade, would go well blended out into no. 3

Now for the other half;

 7) Another steal grey but with blue undertones, would look nice on the inner portion of the eye with blue smokey eye.
8) Navy blue, slightly more grey tones that no. 10.
9) Beautiful black, deeply pigmented which is really great, sometimes it can be hard to find a good black, can't wait to experiment with this and see how well it blends out.
10) Beautiful deep blue shade, really nice, so excited to try it out.
11) A dark blue, but with slight purpley undertones, think some people call it 'blurple'? ahah, really nice shade.
12) A darker shade of no. 1, beautful also!

All in all, this is a beautiful palette with pretty, pigmentated shades. Great palette for taking to like a work when you've got a work do straight after and you don't want to take lots of single eyeshadows. Really great selection of colours for the price too!
RRP: £4
You can find it most local Superdrugs, online at Superdrug here and on the MUA website here.

MUA Heaven & Earth Palette: Review & Swatches

Hello my lovelies, hope you all had a wonderful new year!
One of my new years resolution is to make sure I try and blog regularly, so lets hope I can keep to this one!
You can click here to read my first look at this palette, now to get onto the review and swatches .

All of the shadows are shimmer based, and as far as I can tell, the eyeshadows don't have actual names, so I've had to number them:

Lets look at the first half first;
1) A beautiful white shade, perfect for highlighting pale skin tones. I tend to use this lightly from the lid to the eyebrow, then go over again a bit more on the lid and brow bone as a base & highlight.
2) A bronzey brown colour, looks lighter in the pan though, it's great used lightly in the crease, very blendable and you can build the colour up nicely, although it's got great pigmentation, then again they all have!
3) A gold, yellow based brown, looks green in the pan but it's definitely more yellow. A beautiful shade, but it doesn't really suit me, I'm afraid!
4) A beautiful chocolatey brown, not as shimmery as the others, which is good in my opinion, great for a brown smokey eye.
5) A cappuccino brown, again not a lot of shimmer which I like, good for a natural eye look, in the crease.
6) Cream based highlight shade, I like to use this on my lids with no. 5 in the crease, really beautiful.

Now for the second half;
7) A pink based cream, looks more pink based on the skin. Really beautiful colour and great as a highlight.
8) Another chocolatey brown, but darker than no. 4 in the other half. Again great for a brown smokey eye.
9) Orangey copper colour, again I haven't tried this out on my eyes because it doesn't look very nice on me, in my opinion.
10) A mauvey shade, really love this! I often wear it in the crease with no. 6 from the other palette on the lid too.
11) a more yellow based chocolate brown that no. 8 but a gorgeous colour none the less!
12) A darker mauvey colour than no. 10, and is one of my favourite shades of this palette, I don't know if it's possible to be in love with a colour, but I think I am!

All in all,  it's a really great palette for the money, I've seen a lot of reviews that compare this as a cheaper version of the Urban Decay palette, however I've never used it so I can't say myself. This palette has suprisingly good pay off and pigmentation for the price, great for people who love neutral shadows, or for someone who wants to try them out but doesn't want to spend extortionate amounts on money.

RRP: £4

Thanks for reading, my next post will be on the MUA Starry Night palette, until next time,
