E.L.F: Baked Eyeshadow Palette in California Review & Swatches

E.L.F_Baked_Shadow_Palette

Hello my lovlies :)
Today I have for you a post on the baked eyeshadow palette from my recent 50% off haul.

E.L.F_Baked_Shadow_Palette
Now this is supposedly a dupe for the Naked Palette... Now I haven't used the Naked palette, only seen it in videos/palettes or online but I highly doubt that it is. It is all shimmer/has glitter in it. When I say glitter, I mean quite big chunks! Which might not be to everyone's taste.

Dry swatches with no Primer, top & bottom rows.
E.L.F_Baked_Shadow_Palette_Dry_Swatch
E.L.F_Baked_Shadow_Palette_Dry_Swatch

As you can see, there is barely any pigmentation, I really had to swipe a lot of product to get this pay off. When wearing, I have only tried using a concealer as a base as that's what I normally use, I never use a primer as my lids particularly oily. The only way I could get could colour pay off from nearly all of them was by using it wet. Which I don't really fancy doing day to day, really? I could just as easily use my MUA palette which has the same sort of shades and a hell of a lot more pigment.

E.L.F_Baked_Shadow_Palette_Wet_Swatch
Here are the wet swatches, the colours are actually very pretty! Such a shame they couldn't be this beautiful without using them wet :(

For a baked shadow palette, I really though it was going to be good, especially with it being from the Studio range, and it being £10! Now I don't know if I got a bad one but, I'm actually rather disappointed. The packaging is pretty sturdy though and there is a nice big mirror.

All in all, the best way is to use this wet, which is a bit of a hassle for me if I'm in a rush to get to work in the morning! So I doubt it'll be used a lot, I'll probably stick with my Undress me Too MUA palette, during the day, and maybe use this for more evening looks.
I paid £5 but it is normally £10 on eyeslipsface.co.uk

Have you tried this palette? I would love to hear your thoughts!
Until next time,
xoxoxox.

Models Own: Haul!

Models_Own_Nail_Polish_Haul
Hello my lovlies :)
Today I have for you a Models Own haul. A little while back they had a 6 for £20 code, I couldn't pass up the chance, and unsurprisingly to most all but one are glittery!

Models_Own_Obsidian_Velvet_Goth
Here is Obsidian, it's a beautiful black with chunks of gold glitter with little glitter pieces. It has a velvet lid as it's part of the 'Velvet Goth' range.

Models_Own_Valerian_Velvet_Goth
Here is Valerian, a stunning dark blue base with medium and small pieces of blue glitter. I'm currently wearing this as it was the big 50th anniversary of Doctor Who yesterday! Did you watch it? It was amaaaazing! This has a dark blue velvet lid as it's part of the 'Velvet Goth' range too.

Models_Own_Utopia
Here is the ever so popular, Utopia. I thought it was going to be a lot more neutral but it's a sort of dusky pink colour. Beautiful none the less! I bought this to wear with the next to glitter polishes.

Models_Own_Snowflakes_Wonderland
Here is Snowflakes. It is super super stunning! It's got big shards or iridescent glitter. It looks like huge shards of ice! So beautiful. This is part of the Wonderland collection, couldn't pass this up! Can't wait to wear this at Christmas.

Models_Own_Jack_Frost
This is Jack Frost, it's packed full of iridescent glitter. I'm considering wearing this for Christmas too, decisions!

Models_Own_Mermaid_Tears_Splash
This is Mermaid Tears from the Splash collection. I could not, not buy this! I love mermaids :) It super super pretty. It's like a summer version of Snowflakes. It's in a pale purple base, which the camera doesn't pick up. It has big blue shards of glitteryness. :)

Now this all should of come to £30/£25 (if you buy 5 on the website you save £5), but it was just £20 with the code! Even with just a £5 it was worth it in my eyes. I will post up swatches soon. If you want to see any reviews then let me know!

I'm not to sure what will be next. maybe the E.L.F Baked eyeshadow palette from my haul?
Until next time!
xoxox.

Here is a photo of my little helper, Milo :) When ever I'm blogging in the conservatory he always comes to see what I'm up to! I'm a bit confused as to where he found that plastic on his nose!

George: Limited Edition Glitter Polishes Haul & Swatches!

George_Limited_Edition_Glitter_Polishes
Hello my lovlies!
Today I have for you a little glitter haul :)
A couple of weeks ago, George at Asda bought out 4 new limited edition glitter polishes, only 7000 have been made of these so when they're gone, they're gone!
As a sucker for glitter I couldn't not buy them ;) so here they are;

Ruby Slippers
George_Limited_Edition_Ruby_Slippers_Glitter
A beautiful multi-sized red glitter polish, now I would use this as a top coat, however they tell you to use 2-3 coats, and so I have shown you what it looks like with 3 coats. It doesn't exactly cover fully, I'm not too sure how this would dry if you put any more layers on? This will be fab for Christmas! Then again, all these polishes would be.

George_Limited_Edition_Dotty_Glitter
This is another matte glitter polish that looks like L'Oreal Confetti, however, this has tiny tiny little flecks of green glitter, which you can just about see in the close up of the bottle. This makes it a lot less 'flat'. They again suggested 2-3 coats with this, however, it doesn't exactly cover well, I think this looks better as a single layer top coat.

Ice Queen
George_Limited_Edition_Ice_Queen_Glitter
This definitely fits the name! It looks like little shreds of multicoloured ice, a sure Christmas party top coat! I again did the 3 layers as suggested however, it's not really my cup of tea like that, and it didn't really dry very nicely. I think it'll be better just having one coat and then sort of patting on where you feel necessary.
Glitter Bomb
George_Limited_Edition_Glitter_Bomb
A three sized glitter polish consisting of pink, light blue, green, silver and gold. It seriously is a Glitter Bomb and I'm in love! It looks like confetti from a pinata or like when you see them parties on telly with the disco ball and then all the glitter comes down over the dance floor ;) I think this has to be my favourite!

Now all these polishes are £3 each which is a good buy in my eyes!
I can't wait to try them all out. Let me know if you want any reviews :)
I'm also thinking of doing a dupes post as I have a similar polish to Ice Queen and I have the L'oreal Confetti which is quite obviously close to Dotty. Let me know if you've seen any others?

Until next time!

Max Factor: Waterproof Masterpiece Mascara Review

Hello my lovlies!
Today I have a review of the Masterpiece Mascara in Waterproof for you.
I bought this mascara at the airport (you can find my haul post here) so I've had it just under a month, and have used it practically everyday, so I have a pretty good understanding of it!

First off, apologies for the eyebrows! After my holiday they're have a bit of a growth spurt so I'm trying to grow them a little bit.

It's got quite a think but loose consistency. You have to be pretty gentle with you lashes, as it's pretty easy to get it on your lid, unfortunately!
It has good staying power and doesn't flake off during the day. I like wearing waterproof because of my hayfever, and this doesn't budge. It gives my lashes a bit of length and quite a bit of volume. It can be quite clumpy though after the first coat, I tend to apply a different mascara which helps to comb off the excess.
Time for photos!

Here are my lashes without mascara on, they're just been curled and I tightlined my waterline a little bit.

Here is one coat of mascara, with a very light coat on my bottom lashes too. As you can see, there's a nice bit of length volume. Very natural looking.

Here is a picture with a second coat added to the top lashes. As you can see it's added more length but looks pretty clumpy/stuck together. Now, some people like their eyelashes looking like this, which is perfectly fine! I just like mine to be all seperated, however I'd still wear them like this, if I didn't have time to sort it out :P
Using a third coat is a bit of a mess and I wouldn't suggest it. They get pretty awful where the formula is pretty wet.

Overall, this is a good mascara, providing you looking for a natural amount of length and volume, and aren't looking to layer it up too much. Saying that, it might be a bit better when the product starts drying a bit. I'll update this post in a month or so.
I don't know if I would repurchase this again, as I find myself using another mascara with it, I paid £9.99 for this mascara which is a lot for me!
*UPDATE* I have now ran out of this mascara, and it did improve after a couple of months when the formula became less wet. It was a pretty darn good mascara! I would repurchase it again, however, I would repurchase it a couple of months before I needed it, to help it solidify a bit. :)
You can find it here on the Boots website or here on the Superdrug website.

Until next time!
xoxo.

Max Factor: Mini Boots Haul + Free Goodies!

Hello my lovlies!
Today I have for you another little haul.
I bought this all at the airport before my flight, as I was in need of a waterproof mascara, and the one I had got before was rubbish. I then noticed that if you spent at least £15 on on Max Factor products you get a little box of goodies for free. I couldn't resist! Apologies for the state of the box, it got a bit battered in my suitcase :(

Masterpiece Waterproof Mascara: £9.99
Really pleased with this purchase, I'll be reviewing this soon, just need to take a few photos first. :)
Glossfinity Nail Polish in 55 Angel Nails: £5.99
There wasn't much of a choice, this was probably the one I'd wear mostly out of the ones they had. I was after a new liquid eyeliner but none of them were sealed (one of my peeves! Why have they stopped putting the cellophane on make up! I would like to know if the makeup I'm thinking of purchasing has been infected by people! Rant over :P).

Now onto this little beauty. I was a little dubious of getting it at first, but when I saw what was in it, I definitely couldn't resist.

Colour Elixir Giant Pen Stick in Foxy Amber. This is a full size which retails for £6.99 in Boots.
I haven't warn this yet but I've swatched it on my hand, it's a pretty pinky red shade. Perfect for summer :)

Max Effect Mini Nail Polish in Deep Coral. This is also a full size and retails £3.99.
I wouldn't normally go for a polish this shade, however I've swatched it on a nail wheel and it's a super beautiful orangey red. Will have to see if it suits my skin tone though.

Max Effect Mono Eye Shadow in Creme Champagne. This is once again, a full size, which retails at £4.99.
This is another beautiful colour! Looking forward to trying this out.

Masterpiece Max High Volume & Definition Mascara. This is a sample size of 5.3ml. The full size retails for £9.99. So the sample is worth around £7? (According to the boots website its £13.88 per 10 ml.)
I haven't tried this out, but I've heard a lot of great things about Max Factor mascaras.

All in all I think this was a pretty successful haul! A lot of exciting things to try :)
And with about £23ish worth of free products? Not too shabby, I must say!

Until next time

Barry M: 337 Pink Silver Glitter Swatches & Review

Hello my lovlies!
I am back off of my holiday and off of 'holiday mode'!
Today I have for you a swatch and review of one of the Barry M Glitter polishes in 'Pink Silver Glitter'

Barry_M_Pink_Silver_Glitter
First off, this is my favourite polish I've bought this year. Hands down. It is stunning. It's full little  silver and light and dark pink microglitters, it's so beautiful to look at. It's so dense, too heavy for a topcoat but needs 3 coats to make it fully opaque. It goes on beautifully smooth, and dry rather quickly.
It's just gorgeous. It's beautiful enough to wear on a special occasion, yet sort of subtle enough to wear everyday. I loved wearing this on holiday and it lasted pretty darn well (a good six days if not more!) with a base and top coat. It only started chipping after I'd been in the pool, and jacuzzi.
Although you have to remember to use thin coats, I used much too much base & topcoat and this polish and it just peeled off within 3 days. However, I think this also may be to do with my moisturising hand wash?

Barry_M_Pink_Silver_Glitter_Swatch
Look at it! This photo doesn't nearly do it justice. Go and look at it for yourselves, it looks just like the bottle. So pretty!

Barry_M_Pink_Silver_Glitter_Swatch
The different coloured glitters gives such a beautiful effect! I think this is going to be a firm favourite for the summer, if we ever get one!
Available from Superdrug and Boots for £2.99! Which is a bargain.
There's a 3 for 2 going on at Superdrug so go go go!

Until next time
xoxoxo.

April Favourites 2013

Hello my lovlies!
Today I have for you my first monthly favourites post! I don't wuite now I'm going to get on with these as I don't tend to switch up products that often! But let's see :)

April_Favourites_2013

April_Favourites_2013
Soap & Glory: Sugar Crush
I got this product in the best of all bag back in December (find previous post here). It smells citrusy and sort of nostalgic because, it reminds me of cleaning products from when I used to go with my dad's friend and her daughter to help (or hinder!) clean a sort of local clubhouse called the Pavilion (it's a football place but has a bar and a party hall and a huuuuge field for the footballness and a little playground) of a weekend. It reminds me of sitting on the kitchen work surface eating fresh sandwiches from the bakery nearby, polishing tables and Whitney Houston. Sounds strange I know!
Back to the product ;) it's good for my dry patches on my arm as it's not too gritty feeling. I just love it. I never want it to end!

April_Favourites_2013
Bed Head: Some Like It Hot
I have been using this for about a year now I think? And I've got about 1/6th left, in need of some more! As it's a heat protectant serum I sort of feel like it does more, although I still spray in heat protectants too! With my hair freshley washed, I split my hair into two and apply about 3 pumps to each side, concentrating most of it on the bottom of my hair. Then with the left over product on my hands I lightly wipe it over the top of my hair. It's for humidity as well as heat so I find it's good against my sometimes frizzy ends. I also apply the tinniest amount to my ends if my hair is a bit dry/mad looking to calm it down. :)

April_Favourites_2013
Soap & Glory: Thick & Fast
Rimmel: Scandaleyes Show Off Mascara
I have put these together as they both compliment each other.
I like to apply one light coat of the Thick and Fast, then the Scandaleyes for length and then the Thick and Fast again because, it sort of wipes the excess product off my lashes. Loved this mascara combo since I bought the Scandaleyes for £5 in Wilkinsons! Although I think it is a bit crumbly off of my lashes sometimes, maybe due to the humidity at the minute?

April_Favourites_2013
Nivea: Milk & Honey Lip Care
Revlon: Strawberry Shortcake Colourburst Lip Butter
I have put these together because, I use the Nivea lipbalm everyday to ensure my lips are soft regardless if I'm wearing a lip product or not.
I wore Strawberry Shortcake almost every day during April until I bought my MUA Power Pouts. I still reach for it when I want a light wash of colour, as I prefer to use this sparingly. :)

April_Favourites_2013
Tresemme: Platinum Strength Deep Conditioning Treatment.
I use this every time I wash my hair, by applying about a 50p sized amount and applying it to the lengths of my hair. I'm pretty sure I'm seeing an improvement, it makes my hair feel soft and gives it a nice healthy shine.

So that's the end of my first favourites post! I hope I did alright. This time next week I'll be in Malta! And so I'll be writing a few posts in advance to go up whilst I'm away.
It feels good to be blogging again! Just hope I can get as much done as I'd like! I still need to pack the majority of my clothes, and buy a new purse, plus I go to my cousins this weekend, pressure!

Let me know if you want me to do any holiday related posts?
Until next time

MUA: Mini Haul

Hello my lovlies :)
Today I have for you a tiny MUA haul.
I mainly put in this purchase because I wanted to try out their new Power Pouts and Undress Me Too palette but then I couldn't have it on £9 because I dislike odd numbers so I decided to try the eyebrow pencil too.
I have been eyeing up this palette for a little while as it's been described as a dupe for the Naked 2 palette, and I haven't had the guts to splurge on that yet. I paid £3 for this however I think it's £4 in store.

I have been wanting to get my mitts of these for agggges as I don't want to splurge on the Clinique Chubby sticks that seem to be similar. I wanted to buy all of them but I limitted myself to two to see how I get on with them. These are £3 each.

I've been looking for a nice shade of blonde for my brows as a lot are too dark. I've had a few tries with this so I *should* have a review and swatch post for you soon. This is £1.

You can buy MUA on their website and in/online at Superdrug.
I ordered on the MUA website and I must admit, the delivery was pretty slow, and I mainly put the order in so I could get the Power Pouts before they were in the shop... I don't think it worked out that way though :/ never mind.

Until next time

EOTD: Wear Purple Day for the Stacey Mowle Appeal.

Hello my lovlies!
Sorry for the lack of posts, I've recently enrolled on a gel nails course at home and I've still finding it hard to juggle my time, so please bare with me!

Where I live there is a lot of fundraising going on for a little girl called Stacey who has Neuroblastoma again after a relapse and needs to go abroad for more treatment as there is no relapse protocol in the UK.
Jacquii who is the Community Colleague at the Asda I work at has been working very hard to raise money for her, and invented a 'Wear Purple Day' as that's Stacey's favourite colour. Lots of schools etc took part and of course Asda! As I don't actually work for Asda I couldn't take full part in wearing purple but I did wear purple eye make up!

I got a bit carried away and applied practically every purple eyeshadow as eyeliner, woops!

If you would like to find out more about Stacey and her journey, you can click *here* which will direct you to her Just Giving page.
If you could even donate as little as £1, that is a lot to the family.

I wouldn't normally do a post like this but it's such a good cause!

Until next time
xoxox.

Easy Sunday: Easter 2013 in Hertfordshire

Hello my lovlies!
Hope you're having a wonderful Easter holiday :)
This yes I spent most of it at my sister's in Hertfordshire.
Jake and I went there yesterday after noon and got home late afternoon today.
I took some pictures as we went bowling yesterday and we took the girls to the park this morning, it was so lovely to see them that it made me miss them even more when we got home.

Here's the pictures from bowling :)
Pic 1: my shoes were really strange and disheveled!
2: Sneaky picture of Jake and I.
3: A rather blurry picture of the score board, my brother in law and their youngest girl ended up coming joint first! Even though I got two strikes!
4. Me and the littlest girl, with Jake photobombing! This was before she got me to go on a tiny enclosed simulator thing which was not good for the claustrophobia, aha. The things us aunties do, eh!
Pic 1: Jake, my sister and I hid the Easter eggs when the girls were in bed. This was too much fun! Jake found some of the most obscure places.. I.e in the door latch bit!
2 & 3: We did crafts with the girls so I made a one eyed Easter chick and Jake attempted a chick which ended up looking more like an octopus!
4: Us 4 at the park (Including a random bit of mad hair!) They had us running around the whole time which was pretty good as it was freezing!

I hope you had as much fun for your Easter Bank holiday as we did, and got lots of chocolate too!
Until next time
xoxo.

Boots & Superdrug: Mini 'Drugstore' Haul #2

Hello my lovlies!
Today I have for you a little 'drugstore' haul for you.
I bought the TRESemmé hair products from Superdrug and the other bits from Boots.

I decided to buy these as I'm running out of my current Aussie hair products and I feel like I still haven't found my favourite yet. Having coloured blonde hair which is very fine, it's slightly dry and damaged, despite using barely any heat on it, and when I do, it's completely frazzles it, making me regret going near my hair with anything hot! And that's despite me using a heat protectant oil, and a spray in one too. :(
I've seen a few good things about these products to I'm excited to try these. TRESemmé is currently half price in Superdrug so I got these all for £7.85 instead of £15.97
which is a right result!
I got these bad boys in Boots as there is currently a 3 for 2 going on. The Collection 2000 concealer is a repurchase, I bought the Rimmel Scandal Eyes waterproof pencil in Nude because I saw it in a haul on Beauty Crush's channel (click for the haul video here) and the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake, on a bit of a whim really! I've been looking at them for a long time and seen so much hype for ages so I couldn't resist any longer!
I bought all these for £12.18 instead of £16.17 which is a bargain too!
I love buying new products when they're offers on in case they aren't my cup of tea, so then I don't get too disappointed. :)

If you'd like to see any reviews/swatches then do let me know!
Until next time
xoxo.
