Boots & Superdrug: Mini 'Drugstore' Haul #2

Hello my lovlies!
Today I have for you a little 'drugstore' haul for you.
I bought the TRESemmé hair products from Superdrug and the other bits from Boots.

I decided to buy these as I'm running out of my current Aussie hair products and I feel like I still haven't found my favourite yet. Having coloured blonde hair which is very fine, it's slightly dry and damaged, despite using barely any heat on it, and when I do, it's completely frazzles it, making me regret going near my hair with anything hot! And that's despite me using a heat protectant oil, and a spray in one too. :(
I've seen a few good things about these products to I'm excited to try these. TRESemmé is currently half price in Superdrug so I got these all for £7.85 instead of £15.97
which is a right result!
I got these bad boys in Boots as there is currently a 3 for 2 going on. The Collection 2000 concealer is a repurchase, I bought the Rimmel Scandal Eyes waterproof pencil in Nude because I saw it in a haul on Beauty Crush's channel (click for the haul video here) and the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake, on a bit of a whim really! I've been looking at them for a long time and seen so much hype for ages so I couldn't resist any longer!
I bought all these for £12.18 instead of £16.17 which is a bargain too!
I love buying new products when they're offers on in case they aren't my cup of tea, so then I don't get too disappointed. :)

If you'd like to see any reviews/swatches then do let me know!
Until next time
xoxo.

TAG - How much is your face worth?

Hey guys!
I've seen this tag a lot on the tinternet, and so I thought I'd jump on the band wagon, all be it a bit late.

^Here is what my everyday make up looks like^
It's in a bit of an odd order? Ah well :)
I've add pictures individually if there is already some on my blog, and/or to their product page.

1) E.L.F Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder £3.75:
I only use the blush of this, because I prefer a matte contour shade. I lightly sweep it on with a stippling brush, so I can easily build it up if need be.

2) Unbranded Concealer Palette from eBay £5.95:
I use the green shade on red areas of my face and the light yellow shade under my eyes, before applying foundation.

3) Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light £6.49:
I use the brown shade to contour my cheek bones with my stippling brush (which gives a good buildable amount of colour) and in my eye crease. I also occasionally use the highlight shade on my brow bone.

4) E.L.F Complexion Perfection Powder / Tone Correcting Powder £3.75 ish?:
I believe it's been renamed as Tone Correcting Powder? It looks like mine would now be associated as the 'light' shade and it looks like the price is a little different too to what I remember paying for it though, I guess I'll just have to go by their price! I use the yellow shade under my eyes and the green lightly on my chin, any concealer and a wee bit on my forehead.

5) FashionistA Brow Kit £7:
I use the light brown shade on the left with an ELF angled brush. On the odd occasion I'll use the dark brown on the right for the 'tails' of my brows if they are looking particularly sparse and the wax if they are a bit unruley.

6) MUA Heaven and Earth Palette £4:
II tend to use the shade '6' (according to my blogpost here) all over the lid.

7) L'Oréal True Match Foundation in £10.29:
I only use a tiny bit of this mixed with my Revlon Colourstay to make it match better... I was previously using Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation but ran out :(

8) Revlon Colourstay Foundation for Normal/Dry Skin in  £12.49:
I use this with the other foundation.

9) Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair £4.19:
I use this as both a base and for more coverage where needed.

10) Rimmel Fix & Perfect Foundation Primer £6.99:
Really in love with this, although I'm so tempted to try the Nivea Hydration Primer though!

11) Carmex Strawberry Lip Balm Tube £2:
I picked this up in Primark on a whim and I don't think my lips would last without it.

12) NYC High Definition Volume Mascara £3.99:
I wasn't too impressed with this, but the formula got a lot better and less clumpy, however it's gone a bit clumpy again. Luckily I've nearly finished it so I can try a new one.

13) L'Oreal Superliner £6.49:
I love this and have recently bought my second one, yaaaay.

14) Revlon Grow Luscious Lash Liner £6.29:
Not quite sure if it's made my eyelashes grow? But it's a nice pencil.

15) 17 Solo Eyeshadow in Ivory Coast £3.89:
I use this to set my concealer from the lid to the brow.

Now, for the total!
£87.56
I am very pleased with that! I know I only really use 'drugstore' products, so it shouldn't be that bad anyway, I am very please :) Considering I've seen loads over the £100 mark!

Hope you enjoyed this tag as much as I did. I tag you all to do it! (although you probably did it months ago!)

xoxoxo

30 Day Make Up Challenge: Day 30

Here is the last entry of my make up challenge! Kind of sad to see it go :( it definitely got me into the swing of blogging again so I'm going to try and keep it up!

Products used:
E.L.F Complete Coverage Concealer
17's Single Eyeshadow in Ivory Coast
eBay unbranded eyeshadow palette in white, turquoise, dark blue, and black.
Barry M Intense Black Eyeliner
Rimmel Day 2 Night Mascara in black

How I did it:
1) I used the 2nd shade from the left of the E.L.F Concealer and used it on my under eye, and lid up to the brow.
2) I then set the concealer on the lid up to the brow with Ivory Coast.
3) I used the Barry M liner as a base colour by colouring in the outer and inner corner, totally missing out the middle section of the eye. I then blended, and used the rest of the product on brush of the lower lash line. I then patted on the dark blue where the black was used the turquoise on the inner portion and middle of lower lash line, blending into the darker colours. I went over the dark blue with the black, and blended out any harsh lines in the crease with the white.
4) I tightlined and lined my water line with the Barry M liner
5) I used a couple of coats of the Rimmel mascara

Hope you enjoyed!
xoxo

2) I then set the concealer on the lid up to the brow with Ivory Coast.
3) Next, I used the Sleek White Eyeliner all over the lid and under the brow, and blended it in.
4) I tightlined, and lined my waterline with the Barry M liner, and used it on the outer third of my eyelid to liner the lashes and coloured in where I wanted the darkest shadow to be on the outer crease.
5)I then used 6 from the MUA palette all over the lid, 9 on the outter crease and lashline, and patted on 3 on my inner corner. I then used the remainder of 9 on the brush to smudge under the lower lashes.
6) I used a couple of coats of the Rimmel mascara, filled in my brows with the Eyelure Pencil and set them in place with the E.L.F Brow Gel.

I hope you liked my take on the classic smokey eye!

30 Day Make Up Challenge: Day 3

Now we're on day 3! This is quite a dramatic look, I was dying to mess around with some glitter!

Products used:
E.L.F Complete Coverage Concealer
Sleek Au Naturel Palette in Nougat & Noir
E.L.F Shimmer Pencil in Boldly Bronzed
MAC Glitter in Antique Gold
Sleek Kohl Eye Pencil in White (131)
Collection 2000 Extreme 24 hour Felt Tip Liner
Barry M Intense Black Eyeliner Pen
Rimmel Day 2 Night Glam Eyes Mascara
Eyelure Shape & Shade Brow Pencil & Tamer in Medium
E.L.F Wet Gloss & Brow Gel

How I did it:
1) Covered whole eye area in E.L.F Complete Coverage Concealer (second from left shade)
2) Take Nougat from the Sleek Au Naturel palette and use lightly from lid to brow bone, then concentrate more on the brow bone and inner corner as a highlight.
3) Cover you lid in E.L.F's Shimmer Pencil in Bodly bronzed, and blend with your finger. (Creased so bad! Should of put an eyeshadow on top of it to set it, totally forgot! )
4) Pat on Antique Gold, try to get it on just the lid.
5) Use Noir from the same Sleek palette and line it in the crease, blend upwards, and then apply more in the sort of center, to give it a cut crease look. After, blend some more under the lower water line.
6) I then used the Collection 2000 eyeliner to line my eye with a wing.
7) I tight lined and lined my water line with the Barry M eyeliner
8) Filled in brows with the Eyelure Shape &Shade brow pencil and then fixed in place with the E.L.F Wet Gloss & Brow Gel

Hope you enjoyed this look :) it's so beautiful, be careful of the fall out though! That Antique Gold get's literally everywhere!

NOTD

Here are my nails!  I think I saw someone have nails sort of like this before and I wanted to try it out ( I can't remember where though, so if you know, please tell me so I can give them credit!)
Here are the products:
Base: Rimmel Lycra Pro
Base colour under shatter: Barry M 'Bright Pink'
Shatter Polish: 'Glam Rock'
Top coat: Seche Vite.
I'm pretty proud of this look! It certainly looks better in person. I can't wait to show it off! Also, it's my boyfriends birthday tomorrow, so I'll have to do last minute preps of presents and make him some cakes :)
See you all soon!
Love love xoxo.

Beauty UK Shatter Polishes: Review & Swatches

Here are my swatches of the Beauty UK Polishes in 'Night Fever No.6' & 'Glam Rock No.3'

Here is 'Night Fever' over
Pinky: Rimmel Pros 'Posh Trash'
Ring finger: Nails INC's 'Jermyn Street'
Middle finger: Revlon's 'Passion Fruit'
Index finger: E.L.F's 'Coral'
Thumb: Rimmel 60 seconds in 'Black Out'
I'm unsure of this Gold colour, it's a very yellow based Gold with fine glitter, infact it's more like a metalic yellow? I can't really explain it. It's a nice polish I just don't know if it suits my skin colour, it'll probably take me a while to get used to.
For £2.99 it's a good price, and it does it's job well. It's got a wide brush, not as wide as the Rimmel 60 seconds polishes, but it makes it easier to apply than the Barry M Crackles, but that's my opinion. :)

Here is 'Glam Rock' over:
Pinky: E.L.F's 'Desert Haze'
Ring finger: Barry M's 'Mint Green'
Middle finger: Nails INC's 'Electris Teal'
Index finger: Barry M's 'Bright Pink'
Thumb: Rimmel 60 seconds in 'Black Out'
This is a light silver with fine silver glitter. I much prefer this one to the gold, probably because I can match it to more of my polishes, (I always wear silver jewellery and rarely gold jewellery, so that probably influences me)

So yeah, for £2.99 these aren't bad polishes, they would be a good addition to any polish collection, the wear is good too, I tried it just on my thumbs the other day because I was too eager to wait and it lasted quite a while even without a topcoat.
You could always buy these to try out before buying the OPI ones or just get these as a cheaper alternative, which I have done.
Let me know if you like these colour combos or want me to try out some others for you :)

Thanks for reading, talk to your sooon!
Love love xoxo.

EOTD & FOTD

Hey guys, I have a rather busy day today, I went to Morrisons this morning and I've just got back, so now I've gotta get things ready for my boyfriend's sister's birthday presents! I love birthdays so much but they work out so expensive! Super annoying. So while I have a few minutes I took a picture of my eye make up for you;

And this is a picture of my whole face. Unfortunately, whenever I take a picture of my face from the front, my nose always looks wonky? It's getting worse as I get older. I've never really understood it, lol!
Anywaaaay, here's a list of products used.
Face:
E45 moisturiser.
Rimmel lasting finish foundation in 'Ivory'.
MAC Select Sheer Pressed Powder in NC35
E.L.F mineral blush colour 'Bliss'
E.L.F shimmer palette as a highlighter (above cheekbones and brow bone.)
E.l.F all over cover stick in 'Apricot Beige' over my blemishes.

Eyes:
E.L.F shimmer palette on inner corners.
Bella Pierre pigment in 'Champagne' all over lid & 'Harmony' on the out corners and blended in.
E.L.F Cream eye liner in 'black' to line to liner upper lash line and lover lash line.
Collection 2000 Skyscraper Mascara in 'Black' (mine is waterproof, purely because of it being the summer here so it's less likely to smudge etc. due to being wax based :) )
E.L.F Treat and tame in 'light' on my eyebrows.

Hope you like it, feel free to ask my any q's!
I bought the Beauty UK silver and gold shatter polishes yesterday when I was supposed to be buying birthday presents for my boyfriend.. Woops! I shall try and review them and come up with some colour combo's either this weekend of the beginning on the week. :)

See you all sooon!
Love love xoxo.

Rimmel: Colour Mousse in Get Fresh Review

006 Get Fresh :)

I know it been out a while, but oh well, I like it, so I'ma tell everyone why.

Pros:
- It's a nice creamy texture, you don't need a lot so it lasts ages. I've had this for quite a while now, and I used to use it every day, I still have practically all of it left.
- For me, it lasts more than 8 hours. I've left it on all day and gone to bed with it on (I know, I'm bad) and it's still there in the morning, just like the day before.
- It's not really expensive, considering how long it lasts.
- Goes on easily (but you gotta make sure you don't have too much when applying because it can look cakey)
- The colours are amazing, and a good variety, I only have this one, because I wanted to use it for school etc. However, I would like to try more.
- I think it looks good on me, it doesn't feel too thick or heavy on my eyelids. This particular shade is a pinky nude colour, so you can probably get away with it at school or in the workplace where your supposed to wear minimal make up

Cons:
- It does look cakey if you have too much on when applying, which is an easy mistake, as after a while, it does feel a bit thicker than before (I noticed this today after not using it for a while)
- From my experiences, you can't really work other like powder eye shadows into it, it's probably obvious why, but I have been able to sometimes, probably depends on how much you're wearing.
- It is glittery, don't get me wrong, I love glitter, but I find it easier to apply this product with my fingers, and therefore, I find glitter all over my fingers and hands.

I think that's about it, here are some photo's of me wearing it, do excuse the hair, I had a full fringe cut and about a month later I decided it was too hot for a full fringe and it didn't really suit me, so I'm trying to grow it out, unfortunately, my hair grows at a snails pace.

Eyes:
-Miss Sporty liquid eyeliner black (don't know the full name, it's rubbed of)
-Natural Collection lash curl mascara black
-Collection 2000 big fake false lash effect mascara black
-Rimmel London colour mousse get fresh
- Barry M kohl pencil black

Face:
-Miss Sporty so clear coverstick 01 (light)
-Maybelline New York Dreamy Creamy foundation 04 light porcelain

Lips:
-Vaseline
-Natural Collection juicy lips raspberry ripple

Do you like Rimmel Colour Mousse? What colour(s) do you recommend?
xo.
